Am 16. August 2013 wird das neue Watain-Album "The Wild Hunt" erscheinen und das kann natürlich nicht ohne ein riesiges Klimm-Bimm geschehen. Erstmal wird demnächst die Single "All That May Bleed" erscheinen, welche die Schweden augenscheinlich in die Maya-Zeit verfrachtet, bei welcher es dann natürlich nur um das Blut und nicht um die gesellschaftlichen und wissenschaftlichen Errungenschaften dieser alten Hochkultur geht. Da kann man auch schon einmal reinhören, wenngleich im Grunde keine Überraschungen auf euch warten:

Die Band begründet ihre Single-Auskopplung wie folgt:

"All that May Bleed shows but one facet of a quite diverse album, but we chose this song as a first glimpse into "The Wild Hunt" because of its bombastic lunacy and white-eyed malevolence which could be said to constitute a main foundation for the album. The lyric is an invitation to sacrificial blood letting, ecstatic zealotry and human sacrifice. The salt of Satan in the wounds of Christ!"



Um den Release ordentlich zu feiern, werden Watain am 24. August 2013 eine Special Show in Uppsala, Schweden spielen, um den Anfang ihrer “The Wild Hunt” Welttournee zu zelebrieren. Dort gibt es natürlich nicht nur Mucke, sondern viel Horrer, Blut, Ekel und das ganz große Kino:

"The plan is to make this concert everything we have ever wanted our concerts to be. In a touring scenario it is impossible to drag along all the horrors and infernal machinery we need for that, but performing in our hometown allows for a much more grandiose and spectacular stage show and performance. Mark our words, this will be one to remember!"
